A new roundabout sculpture was installed Tuesday morning at the intersection of Range Line Road and Executive Drive in Carmel. “Morning Sun” was designed by California-based artist Brad Howe and installed by the Carmel Street Department. The sculpture is situated near the Proscenium redevelopment project and the Kroger store. The 16-foot-tall sculpture, made out of stainless steel and urethane, is Howe’s third roundabout sculpture in Carmel. His previous sculptures include the “Cyclo” at Range Line and Smoky Row and “Reckon” at Range Line and Elm Street.

There are some beautiful sculptures in Carmel and some that are just plain ugly. This is one of them. I do not like the sculptures that look like a kindergartener designed them. I think a kindergartner could have come up with a better design. It is situated next to the Proscenium which has a very cool retro looking sign on the building. The modern art definitely doesn’t mesh with buildings around it.
Bull…pn
That’s about the ugliest creation I’ve seen.
Carmel must be ‘proud’.
When I saw it, I said to my son ooh look in honor of the corona virus. We get to have a unique and special oval one in Carmel.
??? ? Or is a hedgehog? To remind us that we can’t hug anyone? Timing & Perspective?
Perfectly said! ?
