The Carmel United Methodist Church is offering a free drive-thru of Imposition of Ashes and a prayer on Ash Wednesday. This is convenient for anyone who is busy and cannot attend an Ash Wednesday Service but would like to acknowledge this day and kick off the season of Lent.
Anyone is invited to participate. Just arrive between 6:30 and 9 a.m. and follow the arrows to get in line. The ashes will take place under the church’s driveway-covered entrance. So, no matter the weather you will be dry. Guests stay in the car to receive the ashes and the blessing.
