The City of Carmel will cut the ribbon on its newest AED station at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, at the Monon Greenway Rohrer Road Trailhead.
Join Carmel City Councilor Jeff Worrell and representatives from Orangetheory Fitness and Bolt for the Heart to celebrate the unveiling of this newest Automated External Defibrillator.
An AED is used to help those experiencing cardiac arrest and is a complex but easy-to-use medical device that can analyze the heart’s rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electrical shock (or defibrillation) to help the heart re-establish an effective rhythm. More AED stations will be added along Carmel’s trail network and at Carmel Clay Parks’ facilities and grounds.
The funds to install this AED were donated by Orangetheory Fitness and Bolt for the Heart.
