The Carmel girls tennis team won two dual meets this week over top 10 teams.
On Tuesday, the No. 2 Greyhounds beat No. 4 Columbus North 4-1. Emma Brune led Carmel by winning the No. 1 singles match 7-5 in the third set.
The ‘Hounds defeated No. 6 Hamilton Southeastern 5-0 on Wednesday, winning all five matches in straight sets.
Hamilton Heights dropped a Tuesday match to Lapel 4-1.
The Huskies’ No. 1 doubles team of Jenna Kelley and Maddi Martin won its match in a third-set super tiebreaker, 7-5, 3-6, 10-6.
“A young inexperienced team is getting better every day for us,” said Heights coach Wayne Rupe.
