The Carmel boys tennis team advanced to the semi-finals of the IHSAA state finals on Friday with a 4-1 win over Evansville Reitz in a quarter-final match played at the Greyhounds’ Todd Witsken Tennis Center.
Winners for Carmel were No. 1 singles Presley Thienenman, No. 3 singles Eli Mercer and the doubles teams of No. 1 Uday Lomada and Jones McNamar and No. 2 Broc Fletcher and John Zirkelbach.
The ‘Hounds play Columbus North at 10 a.m. today at North Central.
