The Carmel Symphony Orchestra will host its fourth Saturday night show on Facebook this evening. “Holidays in May” will be part of the Saturday show and will feature selections from the popular Holiday Pops concert. This show takes place at 7:30 p.m. on the CSO Facebook page.
“We can’t wait for the day we can reopen the Palladium and welcome our fans with hugs and wonderful music,” said Music Director Janna Hymes. “But until that day, we want to comfort our music loving friends the best way possible.”
Joining Hymes on the program are special guests, featured musicians Ann Manship, violin, and Karen Sheely, flute. They will share personal and little-known facts about their lives and careers.
These Saturday night programs have special meaning for Hymes. “We are doing this to stay connected with our fans, but we also feel strongly that music is a uniting, healing force that will help bring us together in a special way,” she said.
Because of the COVID-19 restrictions the Carmel Symphony Orchestra has been presenting 30-minute programs on Facebook Live in an effort to remain connected with their audience base. The free live-stream is simple to access on the Carmel Symphony Orchestra Facebook page.
