Get ready to salute the red, white and blue when Pedcor and Friends along with the Carmel Symphony Orchestra (CSO), present “Salute to Heroes” at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17 at the Palladium, 1 Center Green, Carmel. Through a generous donation from Pedcor, individual tickets for military veterans, active military and first responders will be offered at a 50 percent discount.
The performance, created especially for this occasion by Music Director Janna Hymes, features the ever-popular Wright Brothers along with bluesy powerhouse Jennie DeVoe. Also adding to the entertaining evening will be Actors Theatre of Indiana (ATI), Indiana University’s Singing Hoosiers and Ball State University Dancers. The ATI’s Don Farrell will serve as emcee.
“It’s going to be a great concert,” said Bruce Cordingley, president and CEO of Pedcor Companies, and a veteran himself. “Veterans, active military and first responders deserve our deepest gratitude and appreciation. I want each and every one of them to know their service is important and to receive a heartfelt thank you.”
A variety of patriotic songs will be presented, including “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” “America the Beautiful” and “God Bless America,” along with several solo performances and dance features.
