Carmel Symphony concluding Masterworks season with April 24 concert at the Palladium

Carmel Symphony Orchestra (CSO) will conclude its Masterworks season on Saturday evening, April 24 with a combination live audience and streaming event at the Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts.

The 7:30 p.m. program will feature:

  • Marriage of Figaro Overture (Mozart)
  • Pavane (Faure)
  • Mother Goose Suite (Ravel)
  • Symphony No. 1 in C (Bizet)

Palladium seating will be limited, with patrons masked and socially distanced. Due to the limitation, the evening’s performance also will be live streamed. Tickets for the in-person program as well as live streaming are available at CarmelSymphony.org, beginning at $18.

The CSO’s April 24 program comes on the heels of its successful March performance which welcomed the orchestra back to the Palladium for live audience concerts.

Hymes

“Our musicians were ecstatic to return to the Palladium’s stage in March, and to be able to look out onto a real live audience in the concert hall, even with the attendance restrictions,” CSO Artistic Director Janna Hymes said. “They’re now looking forward to returning to the Palladium later this month and performing these popular pieces for our Carmel Symphony friends and fans, concluding our Masterworks season with a flourish!”

As the CSO’s 45th season draws to a close, Hymes is looking ahead and planning for its 2021-22 season, which debuts in October. Prior to its new season, the orchestra will be performing a diverse and exciting concert schedule during mid-to-late summer. Details concerning CSO summer programs and its 2021-22 season will be announced soon.

United Fidelity Bank is sponsor of the April 24 performance. CSO season sponsors are the City of Carmel, the Center for the Performing Arts and the Palladium. Additional information about the orchestra, its upcoming performances and tickets is available at CarmelSymphony.org.
