Range Line Road & Walnut Street
(formerly 6th Street South)
Range Line Road and Walnut Street closed on July 12 for construction of a single-lane roundabout. Alternative routes during construction include Keystone Parkway, Main Street, City Center Drive and 3rd Avenue SW. This closure is estimated to be about 60 days. Access to businesses at Monon Plaza will be maintained during the project.
111th Street & Westfield Boulevard
The roundabout construction at this intersection is complete and construction has moved to the full culvert replacement on Westfield Boulevard just south of 116th Street. This project is expected to last about 35 days from the closure on July 12.
Veterans Way
The ongoing Duke Transmission project and preliminary water utility work has begun on Veterans Way between the Cat Theatre, just north of Elm Street and 1st Street SW. There will be partial closures of the roadway but access to all addresses on this block will be maintained.
Street Department Maintenance
Annual maintenance of Carmel streets will be ongoing through the summer; partial closures for milling operations followed by resurfacing throughout the city.
