Milestone will complete work at the Main Street and Guilford Road roundabout starting Monday, April 20. The schedule shows a two-week closure of the intersection, but Milestone anticipates it taking less time if the weather cooperates.
Advanced warning signs will be up on Monday, April 6. Milestone plans on completing the path on the east side of Guilford Road between 126th Street and City Center Drive starting Monday, April 13, but work could begin as this week pending some other project schedules.
Any work south of the roundabout, including miscellaneous concrete work, surfacing and striping, will be done under traffic (no closure).
Milestone will be back at some point in the future once Duke Energy has removed poles to patch up any remaining asphalt and concrete work that cannot be completed at this time. That work will be completed under traffic.
