The Carmel Professional Firefighters Union Local 4444 announced on Monday its support and endorsement of Sue Finkam for Mayor in the upcoming general election on Nov. 7.
“Sue Finkam has displayed an unwavering commitment to the firefighters and paramedics of the city of Carmel during her three terms as city councilor, and we are confident her leadership and experience make her the best choice for Carmel moving forward,” Local 4444 stated in a news released. “Finkam is the only mayoral candidate to present a public safety plan that addresses the future safety of our citizens and recognizes the need to continue to grow and expand the capabilities of the fire department with the continued growth within our community. Sue Finkam will prioritize the well-being of the citizens of Carmel and those who serve to protect it. The members of Carmel Professional Firefighters Local 4444 ask you to join them on Nov. 7 in voting for Sue Finkam to be our next mayor.”
“This endorsement is a testament to our shared vision of public safety and protecting our community,” Finkam. “As your next mayor, I am committed to prioritizing public safety to continue making Carmel the best place to live, work, raise a family and retire.”
Local 4444 also announced endorsements for Carmel City Council for the Nov. 7 general election. They are:
- Jeff Worrell – At Large
- Matt Snyder – At Large
- Rich Taylor – At Large
- Adam Aasen – Southeast District
- Tony Green – South Central District
- Ryan Locke – Northwest District
- Shannon Minnaar – Northeast District
“Carmel Firefighters’ number one priority is to keep the citizens of Carmel safe,” Local 4444 said. “These endorsements reflect the candidates for city council that share in that commitment.”
