Carmel Police Department welcomes four new officers

On Aug. 26, the Carmel Police Department officially welcomed four new police officers. The officers were sworn in at a ceremony at the Carmel Police Department Headquarters.

In September, Officer Gregory and Officer Navarrete will head off to a 15-week basic police training course at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in Plainfield. Upon completion of their ILEA training, both will return to Carmel for additional training, including a 16-week field training program.

Officer Garcia and Officer Moon bring previous police experience to Carmel. They will begin a 16-week field training program in September.

Victor Garcia is a graduate of Purdue University. He has three years of police experience at the Norfolk, Va. Police Department.

Ebony Moon is a graduate of the University of Indianapolis. She has one year of police experience at the Kinston, N.C. Police Department.

Molly Gregory is a graduate of Ball State University. She previously worked as a director of special education.

Esteban Navarrete is a graduate of Lutheran High School in Indianapolis. He previously served in the United States Army.
