The Carmel Police Department (CPD) welcomes eight new officers: Christian Bravo, Garrett Durkac, Caleb Hall, Matthew Kranda, Jacob Meyer, Mark Parshall, Christopher Reid and Sukhmanpreet Singh. Read more about each officer below.
Christian Bravo
Officer Christian Bravo comes to CPD from Greenwood. Officer Bravo graduated from IUPUI with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice in 2019. Prior to joining CPD, he worked in restaurant management.
Garrett Durkac
Officer Garrett Durkac comes to CPD from Linden, Mich. Officer Durkac is finishing his degree from Trine University with a double major in psychology and criminal justice. He was a member of the Trine University football team while working on his degrees.
Caleb Hall
Officer Caleb Hall comes to CPD from Valparaiso Police Department, where he has worked for the past four and a half years. He graduated from Valparaiso University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and criminology.
Matthew Kranda
Officer Matthew Kranda comes to CPD from Noblesville. Officer Kranda has one and a half years of experience as a police officer in Fox Pointe, Wis. He also worked for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office as a corrections officer for three years. He attended Indiana State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice in 2015.
Jacob Meyer
Officer Jacob Meyer comes to CPD from Crawfordsville. Jacob is a graduate of Western Boone High School. He graduated from Indiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in Criminology in May 2022.
Mark Parshall
Officer Mark Parshall comes to CPD from Carmel. Officer Parshall moved to Indiana from New York approximately three years ago. Prior to joining CPD, he attended classes at Utica College and worked as a truck driver, hauling liquid fuels and hazardous materials.
Christopher Reid
Officer Christopher Reid comes to CPD from Lebanon. Officer Reid completed his service with the United States Marine Corps in May 2022. He served in the Marine Forces Special Operations Command before coming to CPD.
Sukhmanpreet Singh
Officer Sukhmanpreet Singh comes to CPD from the University of Indianapolis Police Department where he has worked for the past two and a half years. He graduated from the University of Indianapolis in May 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.
