The Carmel Police Department (CPD) has opened registration for the fall 2023 session of the Carmel Police Citizens Academy.
This free 11-week class allows citizens to get a better understanding of how CPD works. Participants will also get a closer look at the training officers receive and learn about numerous topics including the SWAT team, K-9 Unit, Drone Unit, Criminal Investigations, Crime Scene Investigations, and many others.
If you are interested in discovering more about Carmel police officers and the different functions within CPD, you are invited to register for the Citizens Academy. The class will meet from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings starting Aug. 10. You do not have to be a Carmel resident to attend.
