Carmel park shut down due to flooding

The City of Carmel announced Wednesday that floodwater has shut down Carmel’s Flowing Well Park.

The park and its natural spring is a longtime favorite of area residents and visitors from throughout Indiana.

City officials indicated because the floodwater has reached the public water access site the city will be conducting decontamination procedures.

Carmel is also warning area residents to use caution at Hazel Landing Park due to the fluctuating water levels of White River. City officials stated the park’s road and parking lot have become impassable.
