Carmel officials tout city’s many successes at SE District meeting

Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard (right), Southeast District Councilor Jeff Worrell (left), Police Chief Barlow, city councilors and several city engineers were on hand to answer questions at the Southeast District public meeting in Carmel on Tuesday night at the Clay Township Trustee’s Office.

Topics included Carmel’s lowest tax rate of all Hamilton County cities and towns at 2.0354 and lowest water, sewer, storm sewer, trash and recycling bills in the county, the success of Carmel’s innovative infrastructure in lowering the percentage of personal injury accidents as compared to a city’s population, and all of the upcoming improvement projects to roads, parks and trails.
