The Carmel Lions Club will hold its 84th annual Fish Fry on Friday, July 22 at the clubhouse, located at 141 E. Main St., which is just west of Carmel High School. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and dinner will be served from 4:30 to 8 p.m.
New this year!
There will be an option to donate a “meal,” and then the Lions Club will donate the funds to a local food pantry. According to Past President Christine Woodword, the Club doesn’t yet have a specific food bank in mind, but club members are hoping to raise $1,500 and give $500 each to three local pantries.
General funds raised at the Fish Fry will go toward the club’s other service projects.
Fish Fry menu
The Carmel Lions know how to feed a crowd, and that’s just what they intend to do.
The menu is extensive, with main dish options such as “The Palladium Platter,” “The Roundabout Fish Filet Sandwich,” a jumbo all-beef hotdog, and of course, the classic breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. A special pre-order-only item is a limited quantity of smoked half chickens from Woody’s Flaming BBQ.
Sides include fries, slaw, smoked beans, and mac and cheese. Desserts will be plentiful, featuring pies like apple, pecan, cherry, strawberry rhubarb, peach, and sugar cream.
Drinks will include various Coke products, as well as iced tea, lemonade, and water.
Hungry already? You can pre-order your meal now through July 19 at CarmelLions.org/2022-carmel-lions-fish-fry.
