Carmel Lions Club announces 88th annual Grillin’ & Chillin’ Fish Fry

Carmel’s longest-running event is back with culinary delights & community revelry

The Carmel Lions Club has announced the return of its much anticipated Grillin’ & Chillin’ Fish Fry, scheduled for Friday, Aug. 23 and Saturday, Aug. 24 at the Carmel Lions Clubhouse, located at 141 E. Main St.

Now in its 88th year, this Fish Fry is Carmel’s longest-running community event, bringing together friends, families, and neighbors for a memorable weekend of delicious food and good times.

For nearly nine decades, the Carmel Lions Club Fish Fry has been a beloved tradition, drawing crowds from all over the region. The event has evolved from its humble beginnings into a cornerstone of the Carmel community, known for its signature sandwiches and home-cooked sides.

What’s on the menu?

• Signature menu items: Attendees can enjoy the famous Roundabout Fish Filet Sandwich, Breaded Pork Tenderloin Sandwich, World Famous Grilled Chicken Sandwich, and Grilled Veggie Sandwich and Jumbo All Beef Hot Dog.
• Yummy sides: Complement your meal with baked beans, cabbage slaw, french fries, and mac & cheese.
• Delicious desserts: Be sure to save room for a variety of delicious pies that will satisfy any sweet tooth.

“The Grillin’ & Chillin’ Fish Fry is more than just a fundraiser – it’s a celebration of our community and a way for us to give back,” Carmel Lions Club President Matt Best said. “We’re proud to continue this longstanding tradition and to see the familiar faces that come back year after year, as well as welcome new friends.”

Proceeds from the Fish Fry support the Carmel Lions Club’s various charitable activities throughout the year, including supporting vision programs, providing scholarships to local students at the Indiana School for the Blind, and contributing to local food pantries.

Raffle tickets

You can participate in a raffle to win a $100 gift card to Ace Hardware. Raffle tickets will be available at the event: $1 for one ticket or $5 for six tickets. The drawing will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24. You do not have to present to win.
