As construction continues at the Main Library at 425 E. Main St., the Carmel Clay Public Library is announcing the following key dates.
Service at the temporary Merchants’ Square Main Library will end at 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 31.
Service at the expanded and renovated Main Library will begin in mid-September with a Grand Reopening Celebration to follow on Saturday, Oct. 1. This closure period will allow the library and its service providers to move collections, furniture, and equipment between locations and prepare the Main Library for operation.
The Digital Media Lab, currently located at 23 E. Main St., will close at 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 23. The lab will relocate to the northwest corner of the Main Library building and will reopen with that facility in mid-September.
Throughout this period, service will continue at the Joyce Winner West Branch at 12770 Horseferry Road. West Branch hours are:
- Monday to Thursday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Friday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Saturday: Noon to 5 p.m.
