The Carmel girls tennis team, ranked No. 3 in the state, beat No. 2 Park Tudor 3-2 at the Panthers’ tennis courts on Wednesday.
Winners for the Greyhounds were Leila Antony, Alexa Lewis, Hallie Reeves, Anjali Natarajan and Kaitlyn Conley. Carmel travels to Ben Davis tonight for the first round of the Metropolitan Conference tournament.
Hamilton Southeastern, ranked No. 6, beat Lawrence North 4-1 in its Senior Night meet on Wednesday.
Taylor Wolf won the No. 2 singles match 6-0, 6-1, while No. 3 Emma Bieberich was a 6-1, 6-1 winner. In doubles, No. 1 Misha Bukkasagaram and Emily Orme won 7-5, 6-0, while No. 2 Meghan Slaninka and Kaylee Etheredge got a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
The Royals are 12-1 and travel to Fishers today for the first round of the Hoosier Crossroads Conference tournament.
