The City of Carmel unveiled an engraved stone marker dedicated to Les Olds on Wednesday at the Palladium. Olds, an architect and former executive director of the Carmel Redevelopment Commission, passed away in May.

He was a key player in the redevelopment of Carmel’s central corridor and was particularly instrumental in working with Mayor Jim Brainard on the vision of City Center, including the Palladium and Center for the Performing Arts. He also helped transform the Old Town area into the beautiful Arts & Design District.

He is being honored for his expertise and work in as an architect and in structuring public-private partnerships that enhanced both Carmel and Indianapolis.
