The Carmel girls basketball team scored an easy Metropolitan Conference victory on Friday, beating Pike 53-24 at the Eric Clark Activity Center in their final home game of the season.
The Greyhounds led 15-6 after the first quarter, then took further control in the second period, outscoring the Red Devils 16-2 for a 31-8 halftime lead. Carmel continued to build its lead in the third quarter, adding another 12 points for a 43-13 advantage.
Kate Clarke scored 22 points, including four 3-pointers, and pulled six rebounds. Emily Roper collected eight rebounds while Laura Valiente handed out five assists.
Carmel is 4-2 in MIC play and 12-6 overall. The Greyhounds play at Cathedral on Tuesday.
