The Carmel girls basketball team dropped its regular-season finale at Ben Davis, 66-51 on Friday.
The Giants led 22-12 after the first quarter and 37-28 at halftime. Mackenzie Woods kept the Greyhounds in the game with eight first-half points, while Lauren Perry hit two 3-pointers in the first quarter, also scoring eight in the first half. Ben Davis pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring Carmel 16-7 for a 53-35 lead.
Woods finished the game with 12 points, while Perry scored 11. Rilee McBride added 10 points.
The Greyhounds finished the regular season 4-18 and play Fishers on Tuesday in the first round of Sectional 8 at Noblesville.
