Carmel dropped its Metropolitan Conference opener on Tuesday, falling to Lawrence North 65-55 at the Eric Clark Activity Center.
The Greyhounds stayed with the Class 4A No. 6 Wildcats for the first three quarters, leading 27-26 at halftime. The game was tied at 44-44 after three periods, but LN ran away with the fourth quarter, outscoring Carmel 21-11.
Reagan Hune led the ‘Hounds, scoring 14 points and grabbing eight rebounds. Macy Berglund had 13 points and seven rebounds, while Bridget Dunn scored 11 points and collected six rebounds.
The Greyhounds are 3-4 for the season and play another MIC game Friday at Warren Central.
