Carmel’s girls basketball team lost an away game at Penn Thursday afternoon, 50-43.
The Kingsmen led 8-4 after the first quarter. The Greyhounds cut into that advantage slightly by halftime, with Penn up 16-13 at the break. The game was still close after three quarters, with the Kingsmen up 28-25, but Penn poured in 22 points in the fourth quarter to get the win.
Jamie Elliott and Hannah Lach both scored 11 points for Carmel.
The Greyhounds are 1-12 and host Center Grove next Friday, Jan. 6.
