Carmel traveled to Heritage Christian Saturday and won in overtime, 59-49.
The Greyhounds got off to a strong start, leading 15-10 after one quarter. Lauren Perry scored nine of those points. Carmel held a 23-19 lead at halftime, then held a 32-26 advantage after three periods. The Eagles came back in the fourth to tie the game at 41-41, forcing overtime, but the Greyhounds ran away with the extra period, outscoring Heritage 18-8. Mackenzie Woods dominated the OT, making 9 of 10 free throws.
Woods finished the game 12-of-13 from the line on her way to 16 points. Perry scored 10 points, while Sydney Bonds and Bella Ramsey each scored nine.
Carmel is 8-8 and hosts Columbus North on Tuesday.
