Carmel FOP endorses Sue Finkam in mayoral election

The Carmel FOP Lodge 185 has announced its endorsement of mayoral candidate Sue Finkam in the upcoming general election.

In a statement, Lodge 185 Vice President Matthew Broadnax explained the organization’s reasoning:

Finkam

Sue demonstrated her tenacity and drive for success in the primary election. She won a hard-fought campaign through prioritizing public safety, transparency, and listening to what Carmel residents want from their next Mayor. While working alongside Sue during this campaign, we have heard from numerous residents that crime prevention is their top priority.

Our city is constantly targeted by those who want to take what we have built. In the past year we have seen a 27 percent rise in thefts, 22 percent rise in motor vehicle thefts, and 20 percent rise in burglaries. We must stand strong to keep our community safe and protect our quality of life. The Carmel FOP remains steadfast that this community deserves nothing less than the finest police officers in the nation, through recruitment and retention.

Sue Finkam understands the need for a stronger police force now more than ever, so that we continue to remain one of the safest cities in America. Please join us in voting for Sue Finkam as your next Mayor of Carmel on Nov. 7, 2023.
