The Carmel football team will play a game on Friday night.
The Greyhounds will travel to Plainfield for a 7 p.m. kickoff. Carmel was originally supposed to be idle for Week 1 of the season, after its planned game with Louisville Trinity was canceled due to the Kentucky High School Athletic Association adjusting its fall sports dates.
However, Plainfield’s original Week 1 opponent, Greenfield-Central, suspended its football activities through the second week of the season. Carmel agreed to play, thus giving the Greyhounds and the Quakers a Week 1 game.
