Carmel falls to Warren Central

Carmel dropped a tough game to Warren Central 42-41 Friday on Bill Shepherd Court at the Eric Clark Activity Center.

The Warriors led 8-4 after the first quarter and 21-18 at halftime. The Greyhounds kept fighting back, cutting Warren Central’s lead to 30-28 after three periods. Carmel led 41-39 in the final seconds, but the Warriors hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer for the win.

Liam Mann led the ‘Hounds with nine points, with Ben Bremer scoring eight points. Aiden Dickerson pulled eight rebounds, while Evan Harrell collected five rebounds and blocked two shots.

Carmel is 9-11 and hosts Class 2A No. 9 Providence at 5:30 p.m. this afternoon.
