Carmel Utilities and the city’s WaterSense partners at the United States Environmental Protection Agency remind you that Saturday, Feb. 5 is a national day to exercise water efficiency through your shower usage.
Please consider celebrating the day by practicing and educating others on the importance of water efficiency.
For example, if each residence in Carmel eliminated one shower on this day (or equivalent water volume), the approximate reduction in usage is close to 1.3 million gallons. That’s enough water to fill the Carmel Utilities 146th Street Water Tower twice.
