Next week is Fire Prevention Week and the Carmel Fire Department would like to take an evening to invite the public to learn more about the benefits of smoke detectors in the home.
Carmel Fire Chief David Haboush and other department officials will be on hand from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at six different fire stations:
- Station 41 – 2 Civic Square
- Station 42 – 3610 W. 106th St.
- Station 43 – 3242 E. 106th St.
- Station 44 – 5032 E. Main St.
- Station 45 – 10701 N. College Ave.
- Station 46 – 540 W. 136th St.
Firefighters will be at the stations to explain the importance of this year’s theme, “Every Second Counts, Plan Two Ways Out.” Firefighters will also provide tours of the fire stations and give the public the chance to see the fire trucks and rescue equipment up close.
