Dear Editor:

As the Carmel Clay School Board election approaches, it’s important to recognize the vital role your vote plays in shaping the future of our schools and community. Each election gives us a chance to ensure our leadership reflects the values and priorities that matter most to us.

The Carmel Education Foundation (CEF) proudly supports Carmel Clay Schools, including our prior leadership in hosting the school board candidate forums. These efforts reflect our commitment to providing the community with access to the candidates.

To help you make an informed decision, we encourage everyone to read the Carmel Clay School Board candidate questionnaires provided by the OneZone Chamber of Commerce. These responses offer valuable insights into each candidate’s perspectives and their plans for supporting our students and schools. You can find responses from all four candidates (Jon Shapiro, Kris Wheeler, Robin Clark, and Dina Ferchmin) on the OneZone website or social media. We are grateful to OneZone for making this information available to the community.

Additionally, the School Board Debate, hosted by Current in Carmel, is available for viewing and provides further insights to guide your choice on Election Day.

At CEF, we appreciate the support of our community, including our donors, partners, and event attendees. We want to ensure you have the information you need to make a thoughtful decision. As the nonprofit partner of Carmel Clay Schools, we remain dedicated to fostering a strong, collaborative relationship with the school board.

While we hope you will participate in this election, the Carmel Education Foundation does not endorse any candidates. We only hope that our community uses the information available and makes an informed choice.

Thank you for your dedication to our schools and community.

Sam Harris
President, Carmel Education Foundation
