The Carmel swim teams opened their season with big wins over North Central Tuesday at the Greyhounds’ aquatic center.
The girls won 130-56, taking 10 of the 12 events. Individual winners were Berit Berglund in the 200 free, Gretchen Lueking in the individual medley, Meghan Christman win the 50 free, Alaina Heyde in diving, Madelyn Christman in the 100 free, Sarah Jarding in the backstroke and Vivian Wilson in the breaststroke. Carmel won all three relays.
The Greyhounds boys won all 12 events in their 148-32 victory. Winners were Griffin Hadley in the 200 free, Augustus Rothrock in the IM, Wyatt Davis in the 50 free, John Curcio in diving, Griffin Seaver in the butterfly, Brandon Edwards in the 100 free, Leo Han in the 500 free, Nolan Kopp in the backstroke, Ryan Malicki in the breaststroke and all three relays.
