Carmel courtroom, offices depart City Hall for new, temporary space

Carmel City Court has officially relocated to a new location a few blocks west of Carmel City Hall, where it had been situated on the second floor. The new courtroom and all court offices and functions will open on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021 at the City Court Building at 481 Gradle Drive.

This location is temporary as the long-term goal is to include City Court inside the future expanded Carmel Police Department headquarters at Civic Square. Still operating under COVID-19 restrictions, the new space has been designed to allow for greater protection of employees through secured staff offices, dedicated entrances, and the opportunity for social distancing in the courtroom.
