One roundabout will be opening and another will be closing as road improvements continue in Carmel. Motorists, please take note of the following:
City Center Drive and 3rd Avenue
This roundabout has been open on a limited basis for traffic but a final closure will take place beginning on or after Sept. 10 for about five days, weather permitting, to allow for final surfacing, and lane markings. Pay attention to signage and please drive slow whenever you are in a construction zone.
Main Street and Gray Road
The City opened the roundabout on the first day of school and it has remained open on a limited basis. Now, in order to complete asphalt work and lane markings in the roadway, the roundabout will be closed again for completion and to provide safe space for contractors. This roundabout is expected to close on or after Sept. 17 for about 10 days, weather permitting.
