Carmel Clay Schools holding community conversation on student safety

Carmel school and city leaders invite the public for a discussion on school safety to be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 8 at Carmel Middle School, 300 S. Guilford Road. Please arrive by 6:15 p.m. and enter through Door 4.

Hear from members of the panel as they discuss what current school safety measures are in place and what is being done to enhance student safety. Those in attendance that evening will have the opportunity to ask questions to the panel.

The panel will include:

  • Chief Jim Barlow, Carmel Police Department
  • Sergeant D.J Schoeff, Carmel Police School Resource Officer
  • Amy Skeens-Benton, Carmel High School Assistant Principal
  • Karen McDaniel, Carmel High School Assistant Principal
  • Tammy Thornbury, Assistant Director of Special Services
