The annual Model Railroad Meet returns to the Carmel Clay Public Library from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9. This special event is presented in partnership with the Central Indiana Division of the National Model Railroad Association.
Visitors will enjoy dozens of layouts with operating trains. They will also have a chance to speak with train hobbyists and learn about the crafting, wiring, and imagination that go into their pieces.
“This event is one that our library families look forward to every year,” said the library’s Youth Services Assistant Manager Jennifer Humphrey. “It’s a great opportunity to see these layouts up close and appreciate the detail while talking to the people who created them. We’ve noticed that the grown-ups are just as fascinated as the kids.”
Last year’s event drew in over 1,400 attendees. The annual Model Railroad Meet will take place at the Main Library at 425 E. Main St. Registration is not required.
