Carmel Clay Library Public Foundation announces Guilded Leaf visiting writers

The Guild of the Carmel Clay Public Library Foundation has announced the authors taking part in the 17th annual Guilded Leaf Book and Author Events.

  • Nonfiction author Judy Batalion
  • Children’s author and illustrator Rob Harrell
  • Novelist Kristy Woodson Harvey
  • Novelist, playwright, and screenwriter Chris Hauty
  • Author and historian Laurence Leamer
  • Novelist Lori Rader-Day

The Guilded Leaf opens with Writers at the Pavilion, an evening event on Oct. 6 at the Ritz Charles Garden Pavilion. Attendees will enjoy book talks, signings, and a silent auction along with appetizers, wine, and craft beer. At the Book and Author Luncheon on Oct. 7, the authors will share insights into their lives and their writing. Book signings, a raffle, and silent auction will also be part of the luncheon festivities at the Ritz Charles.

“The members of the Guild have assembled an especially exciting slate of authors this year,” said Foundation Director Elizabeth Hamilton. “After moving the event online last year due to COVID, it will be wonderful for our guests to experience the authors in person and to celebrate a shared love of reading.”

The Guilded Leaf events are the Carmel Clay Public Library Foundation’s signature fundraising events. Individual tickets for each event are $70, and corporate tables are available for $1,200. Tickets may be purchased at carmelclaylibrary.org/guilded-leaf.

The Foundation funds all programs and events presented by the Carmel Clay Public Library, including the Summer Reading Program, guest lectures, and music and movie performances. More information about the Foundation is available at carmelclaylibrary.org/foundation.
