Carmel boys bounce back, beat Perry Meridian

Carmel found itself down at Perry Meridian at halftime, but bounced back in a big way in the third quarter, eventually winning 58-34.
The Class 4A No. 4 Greyhounds trailed 7-6 after the first quarter and 20-16 at halftime. Carmel took over in the third quarter, blasting through the period by outscoring the Falcons 25-4. That gave the ‘Hounds a 41-24 lead, and they cruised through the fourth quarter, adding another 17 points.
Peter Suder scored 17 points for Carmel, also pulling eight rebounds. Brian Waddell added 14 points and collected seven rebounds. Connor Gioia handed out four assists.
The Greyhounds are 11-1 for the season and play a Metropolitan Conference game Friday at Pike.
