Carlton Edward Steele, 92, of Indianapolis, passed away July 28, 2017. He was born on March 13, 1925 in Lexington, Ky. Carlton was a 1949 graduate of the University of Kentucky. He was a WW II veteran where he served in the 8th Army Air Corps in England. Carlton retired from Bell South in 1987.
Carlton was a devoted husband, father and granddaddy. Survivors include his daughter, Sandra (Ed) Bowling; grandchildren, Reid (Teran) Bowling and Erin Bowling; great-grandson, Wyatt Bowling.
Friends and family will gather on Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. (CDT) in Glenn Funeral Home, Owensboro, Ky. A Committal Service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017 at 1 p.m. (EDT) in Lexington Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Carlton, may be given to the University of Kentucky, School of Engineering.
