Senior living management company CarDon & Associates unveil the new expansion of its Westfield community, Copper Trace, during a public open house held Oct. 29. Tours, refreshments and door prizes were provided.
The Copper Trace expansion project began construction in late 2023 and added 37,500 square feet to the main campus building. Overall, the expansion has more than doubled the number of assisted living apartments by adding 40 new units consisting of 27 one-bedroom, six large one-bedroom and seven two-bedroom residences. Additionally, new amenities and renovations have upgraded the property, including a newly renovated dining room, cafe, fitness center, and lounge/activity area.
“This expansion will comfortably accommodate the growing needs of seniors in Westfield and surrounding communities,” CarDon President and CEO Kent Rodgers said. “It offers opportunities for seniors who want to remain self-sufficient with the assurance of assistance when needed, as well as individuals coming out of short-term rehabilitation who might benefit from assisted living care.”
In addition to providing a safe and welcoming environment for seniors to live, the Copper Trace expansion also brings new employment opportunities to the city of Westfield. Copper Trace supports residents with a comprehensive continuum of care, and there are ample open job opportunities for skilled associates within assisted living, rehabilitation, long-term care and memory support services.
Architectural and interior design firm Studio Three Design developed the look of the expansion while long-running renovation company Summit Construction oversaw the building process.
Copper Trace is located on the northeast corner of 146th Street and Ditch Road at 1250 W. 146th St. The new units are available now for reservation, and interested future residents can learn more here.
