Calvin Rocky Zook, 74, Cicero, passed away on August 1, 2022, peacefully at his home, with his daughters by his side.
He was born on February 21, 1948, in Anderson to Jesse W. and Lula Keeton Zook. He graduated from Hamilton Heights High School, then furthered his education at IUPUI. Rocky worked for various companies including Allison Transmission, Noble Industries, and United Airlines where he gained knowledge and experience to start his own business as a machinist.
Rocky loved all kinds of music. He played the guitar and sang any chance he could for family and friends. He loved being outdoors, camping, fishing, and mushroom hunting. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and especially had a love for racing. He attended the Indianapolis 500 for more than 30 years consecutively and had the opportunity to work there alongside his brother. Anyone who knew him would know he had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes. Above all he enjoyed every minute spent with his family.
He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Scott (Tim) of French Lick, Ind., Bonnie Knapp (Tim) of Cicero, and Becky Feltz (Ronnie) of Noblesville; sister, Ginger Zook Foutz of Bloomington, Ind., sister-in-law, Dottie Zook of Greenfield, Ind., nephews and niece, Brian Foutz, James Foutz, Rob Bilyou, Derek Bilyou, and Alisha Perez; grandchildren, Andrew, Brandon, Leah, Justin, Lexi, and Josh; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Frank Zook, and nephew, Earthus Bilyou.
At his request, no funeral service will be held. He preferred that a celebration of life be held in his honor. Please join us from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 27 at FOP Lodge #103, 7201 E. 196th St., Noblesville.
