In the controversy-filled race for a new County Treasurer, Republican Susan Byer (center) enjoyed a commanding 42,000-vote lead Tuesday night over her Democratic challenger Jake Madore. Byer, who previously worked in the Treasurer’s Office, was fired from her position in 2018. Having defeated former Treasurer Kim Good in the June 2 primary election and now appearing to have won the Nov. 3 general election, Byer will now head that office come Jan. 1, 2021.

  1. Susan deserved to win. She ran an honest race with integrity and she had lots of bullying to contend with . She kept it clean despite all the lies told about her. Congratulations Susan the office and the county will be surprised how well you will do.
