Buell Haven Dillon, 94, Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at his home. He was born on July 14, 1926 to Claude and Lelia (Wethington) Dillon in Lebanon.
Buell proudly served in the United States Army during WWII as a military policeman. He was the co-owner of Economy Elevator Enterprises in Carmel, where he worked for 30 years before retiring in 1988. Buell was a member of the Carmel Masonic Lodge #421. He loved to travel and was a former member of Ambassadair Air Travel Club. Buell was an avid fisherman and bowler. He loved to follow Carmel High School sports and Indiana University.
He is survived by his stepson, David V. Sutton, Broad Ripple; stepbrother, Fred Whitlow, Indianapolis; half-sisters, Virginia Ray, Cicero, and Norma Dunn, Hohenwald, Tenn.; half-brothers, Claude Dillon, Jr., North, S.C., Virgil Dunn, Hohenwald, Tenn., Albert Dillon, North, S.C., David Dillon, West Columbia, S.C., and Danny Dillon, Hohenwald, Tenn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Rose (Swaynie) Dillon, and special friend, Ann Nattier.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
