Buddy Lee Addis, 89, of Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024. He was born on October 27, 1934, to Anson and Alvena (Hardway) Addis in Oakland, Ill.
Buddy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree. For 20 years, Buddy worked as an accountant for Illinois Cereal Mills of Paris, Ill. He was then treasurer of New Energy Company of Indiana and retired as CFO from Woodwind Brasswind in South Bend, Ind. Buddy was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association, the Paris, IL American Legion, and the Noblesville Masonic Lodge #57. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and golf. Buddy was a member of First Christian Church of Noblesville where he served as treasurer, finance chairman, and an elder.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lois Addis; son, Bart (Bev) Addis; daughter, Julie Moon (fiancé, Dan Jordan); grandchildren, Bria (Damien) May, Aaron Addis, Shaylee Moon, and Paiton (Paxton) Swaim; great-grandchildren, Brynleigh May, Hudson May, and one on the way; sister-in-law, Joan Addis; niece, Lysa Addis-Orner; nephews, Dyke (Sharon) Addis, Douglas (Karen) Addis, and Drue (Angela) Addis; as well as several cousins, great-nieces & great-nephews, and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by his brothers, Gale Addis and Darryl Addis.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services at 1 p.m., on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
