Community and business leader Bret Richardson has announced his candidacy for the Noblesville Schools Board of Trustees.

Richardson is a Noblesville High School graduate and has extensive experience serving Noblesville’s schools, students, and the community.

He is the incoming board president of the Noblesville Schools Education Foundation, was a swim and dive coach and volunteer for almost 20 years, is mentoring a student at North Elementary, volunteers frequently in support of students and staff, and completed the Noblesville Schools Miller Ambassadors program to learn about the district.

“As a longtime Noblesville Schools parent, grandparent, and volunteer, I have always been a strong advocate for students and teachers,” Richardson said. “I am running for the school board to ensure we stay on the path of continuing our excellence in education. I will work to expand and grow opportunities for our students and staff, while carefully overseeing our tax dollars. I want to be sure Noblesville School continues to build a strong future for our community.”

In addition to his support of the schools, Richardson is a longtime leader in the Noblesville community. He has been on numerous boards, including the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce, Noblesville Main Street, Noblesville Preservation Alliance, Noblesville Swim Club, and the Noblesville Noon Kiwanis Club. He served on the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department for 10 years, both as a road officer and Reserve Division Captain, and was also the co-chairperson for the City of Noblesville Bicentennial Committee.

Richardson and his wife Tammy have three daughters who graduated from Noblesville High School and three grandchildren in Noblesville Schools. Tammy is a former teacher and has worked as a secretary for 15 years at Noblesville East Middle School.
