The Fishers boys basketball team continued its solid start to the season with a 71-53 victory at Arsenal Tech on Tuesday.
The Tigers, ranked No. 1 in this week’s Associated Press Class 4A poll and No. 3 in the IBCA one-class coaches’ poll, were in control early, scoring 22 points in the first quarter. Cooper Zachary and Keenan Garner both had seven points, while Jason Gardner and Justin Kirby both made one 3-pointer each.
Garner added six more points in the second period, helping Fishers to a 36-25 halftime lead. The Tigers outscored the Titans in each of the four quarters, running away with the game in the fourth by pouring in another 25 points.
Garner totaled 22 points and scored in each period. Zachary added 17 points.
Fishers is 3-0 and hosts 4A No. 10 Noblesville Friday in the Hoosier Crossroads Conference opener for both teams.

Hamilton Heights traveled to Clinton Central on Tuesday and came home with its first win of the season, powering past the Bulldogs 71-45.
The Huskies outscored CC in each quarter, leading 19-3 after one period. Heights then had a tremendous second quarter, holding the Bulldogs to six points on its way to a 41-19 halftime lead.
Tillman Etchison poured in 25 points, dished out five assists and made four steals. Carson Felger collected nine rebounds and made six steals, followed by Rees Knapp with seven rebounds and Dreydin Serna with six rebounds.
The Huskies are 1-1 and host New Castle on Friday.
