Boys tennis: Royals, Millers pick up conference victories

The Hamilton Southeastern boys tennis picked up a Hoosier Crossroads Conference victory over Avon Thursday, 5-0.
The No. 9-ranked Royals won all five matches in straight sets. That included a 6-1, 6-3 win for No. 3 singles Andrew Orme, who finished conference play undefeated at 7-0. That earns him the No. 1 seed in the upcoming HCC tournament next week.
Southeastern finished conference play with a 5-2 record. The Royals play No. 10 Guerin Catholic on Monday.

Noblesville defeated Franklin Central 5-0 Thursday in an HCC dual meet.
The Millers won all of their matches in straight sets, including a 6-0, 6-0 victory for Noah Bushong at No. 1 singles.

No. 1-ranked Carmel beat Park Tudor 5-0 on Thursday.
The Greyhounds dropped only three games among the five matches. They will host No. 6 Munster at 5 p.m. tonight at the Todd Witsken Tennis Center.
