The Irish won all the matches in straight sets. The Royals’ No. 1 doubles team of seniors Andrew Myers and Mark Slaninka battled to a first-set tiebreak before dropping the second set.
“It was a tough way to go out on Senior Night, but Andrew and Mark have been a class act for the tennis program for the past four years, and they have been very successful, and it was great to honor them and their families tonight,” said HSE coach Kirk Webber.

Hamilton Heights dropped a 5-0 match at No. 24 Lapel Tuesday night.
“This was one heck of a Lapel team we went up against tonight,” said Huskies coach Cameron Scott. “Matches like this our tough, but if we let them, they sure can build us.  They’re matches where, despite not getting wins, we get the chance to play better and better.”
Heights’ junior varsity team lost 5-2, but got wins from the doubles teams of Drew Pennington/Aiden Ray and Liam Huss/Jake Martin.
