Noblesville picked up a convincing road win at Class 2A No. 9 Brebeuf Jesuit on Thursday, by the score of 4-0.
The 3A No. 10 Millers scored right away: Four minutes into the first half, Jack Miller took a Harrison Christman pass and buried it into the net from 25 yards. At the 19-minute mark, Drew Barnes sent a cross in from the left flank, with Christman sent into the goal on a header.
That gave Noblesville a 2-0 halftime lead, and it scored two more goals in the second half. Palmer Ault took a pass by Christman and put it in for a goal. Christman was also involved in the Millers’ fourth goal, as he sent a through ball to Spencer Holland, who kicked it into the net.

“Tonight looked like a replica of Tuesday night’s game,” said Greyhounds coach Shane Schmidt. “Our effort was great, we possessed the ball for an enormous amount of time during the game, we just continue to have a breakdown once we get into the box. We will work on patterns, balls over the top, and finishing.”
Carmel is 0-3-1 and will host 2A No. 9 Brebeuf Jesuit on Tuesday.
Hamilton Heights lost to New Castle 2-1 on Thursday.
The Trojans scored three minutes into the game, but the Huskies came back to tie the game with 19 minutes left in the first half “after some dominating play and possession,” said Heights coach Derrick Dean. Luke Vanderwall scored the Huskies’ goal, with Donovan Trew making the assist.
But New Castle took the lead right back a minute later when it converted a corner kick. That would be the last score of the game. Heights had eight shots, with the Trojans taking nine. Huskies goalkeeper Marcus Shaffer recorded six saves.
“It was a very close physical match as both teams played with great intensity and desire,” said Dean. He named Caleb Stuart the player of the game, saying he “played extremely well and cut down many of the Trojan attacks.”
Heights is 0-3-1 and hosts Anderson on Tuesday.
